BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – In Tuesday night boys basketball, Coldwater earned a 66-49 non-conference win at Battle Creek Lakeview for their third straight victory.
Three players scored in double digits for the Cardinals: Gavin Taylor led the way with 15 points, Dayton Ennis had 11, and Julian Thompson scored 10. Taylor added 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals, Owen Tappenden also pulled down 7 boards, and Evan Lewis finished with 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
Coldwater improved to 11-10 and will wrap up the regular season Friday at Hastings.
The Cardinals won the JV game 52-44. Mayson Moore led the scoring with 19 points, Joe Hayward added 12, and Wayne Case had 10.
Elsewhere, Union City lost 65-59 at Concord to fall to 6-15 overall and 5-8 in the Big 8. Bronson dropped to 9-12 overall and 6-7 in the Big 8 with a 51-41 setback at Maple Valley. The Vikings will host the Chargers Thursday night in their regular season finale.
In girls basketball, Quincy lost at Olivet 35-27. The 10-8 Orioles will visit Union City on Friday. Bellevue defeated Tekonsha 50-17.
