Kalamazoo, MI (WKZO) – Today the Western Michigan football program announced its schedule for the 2014 season. WMU will host five home games and will be on the road for seven games for the second consecutive year.

The Broncos will kick off its season with back-to-back road games at Purdue (Aug. 30) and Idaho (Sept. 13) before welcome Murray State to Waldo Stadium for CommUniverCity Night on Saturday, Sept. 20 and then conclude its non-conference schedule with a road trip to Blacksburg, Virginia to take on the Hokies of Virginia Tech.

The Broncos will return to Waldo in the beginning of October for the start of conference play with Mid-American Conference West rival Toledo being the first MAC opponent on the Broncos schedule. The remainder of the month finds the Broncos with road games at Ball State (Oct. 11) and at Bowling Green (Oct. 18) before concluding the month at home against Ohio, who will be making their first trip to Kalamazoo since Oct. 4, 2008.
