Ypsilanti, MI (WKZO) –For the first time since 2007, the Broncos have lost to the Eastern Michigan Eagles, falling 14-10 at Rynearson Stadium.
Last week against the Northern Illinois Huskies it was the defense that struggled allowing 51 points. This week it was the Broncos offense that could get it going, tying a season low 10 points scored.
Alex Carder, who turned 22 today, was 24 for 34 for only 181 and for the only 2nd time since becoming the starting quarterback for the Broncos failed to pass for a touchdown.
Tevin Drake scored the lone touchdown for the Broncos, a 46 yard run in the 3rd quarter giving the Broncos their only lead of the day at 10-7.
However, the Eagles came back and scored a 50 yard touchdown in the 4th quarter from Javonti Greene, putting them up for good 14-10.
