Kalamazoo, MI (WKZO) – It was a good and bad weekend for former member of the Bronco Football Team. There are currently 6 Broncos in the NFL, here’s a look back at how each preformed this past week during the Week 1 of the NFL season.

Greg Jennings- Jennings continues to show why he is one of the best receivers in the NFL. He scored the first touchdown of the NFL season on Thursday night as the Packers defeated the New Orleans Saints 42-34. The Kalamazoo native finished the game with 7 receptions and 89 yards to go along with his touchdown.

Louis Delmas- Delmas didn’t record a tackle for the Lions in their 27-20 victory over Tampa but he was instrumental in holding the Buccaneers Offense to only 13 points. The Lions defense dominated Tampa and Delmas’ play in the secondary was a big reason why. He did finish with 2 pass deflections.

Tony Scheffler- Scheffler had only one reception but he made it count. The tight end had an 11 yard TD reception and only of the best touchdown celebrations in recent member. Scheffler also did a great job when called upon to block, helping the Lions gain 126 yards on the ground.

E.J. Biggers- The third year safety for the Buccaneers was the only former Bronco Football Player not to win this weekend but he did finish with 2 tackles and made a giant impact for Tampa. Tampa once again has one of the youngest defenses in the NFL and Biggers is going to be a major player for them as they look to build on last year’s 10-6 record.

Jason Babin- Babin signed a 5 year/$28 million contract with the Eagles after recording a career high 12.5 sacks in 2010 with the Titans. Many experts believed the Eagles overpaid for Babin, but Sunday he showed he is well worth the money. He had 2 sacks and 4 tackles as the Eagles topped the St. Louis Rams 31-13.

Joe Reitz-The former Bronco Basketball player made his first career start on Sunday, and while he’ll remember the game, it won’t be for a good reason. The Colts were dominated by the Texans, falling 34-7. Reitz and the Colts offensive line were responsible for allowing 3 sacks of quarterback Kerry Collins.
