Final plans are being put in place for the Great Lakes Region D Gold Wing Road Rider’s Association Rally and Convention set for Thursday – Saturday, September 16, 17 and 18 with a majority of the activities being held at the Branch County Fairgrounds..
This annual rally will bring over 600 motorcycles with events set for both members of the association and the public. On Friday and Saturday there will be activities that will feature motor cycle riding skills, safety education (rider and motorist awareness) and much more.
Friday, September 17th from 6 – 9 p.m. Rally participants will be bringing and parking on Chicago Street their motorcycles, trike conversions and/or sidecar units to Downtown Coldwater for a “Block Party”. This Party will feature live music, downtown businesses open with specials and a unique Arts Alive Art Show in the Airway Oxygen building at 49 W. Chicago. This Art Show will be featuring eight very unique artists from around Branch County – pottery, photography, watercolors, and much more.
Saturday night will feature a Grand Light Parade of cycles in and around the residential areas of Coldwater. The parade is scheduled to begin around 8:30 p.m. and will end at the Dearth Center Parking Lot at the Fairgrounds where the public is encouraged to come and view another light show in the parking lot.
The Gold Wing Road Riders Association is a family oriented motorcycle association and Region D is made up of members from Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
