Coldwater, MI –Damascus Road Ministries will begin weekly Community Meals at The New York Deli effective on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 7:30p.m. to 8:30p.m.  The Community Meals are open to the public and do not have a cost although free will offerings are accepted.

The menu will include dinner specials and will be prepared and served by Community Meal volunteers with oversight from New York Deli and Damascus Road Staff.  There is no cost for the dinners but free will offerings are accepted.  The Community Meals program will be held weekly on Tuesdays with several dinner specials offered each week.  This endeavor will be a partnership with the local community, churches and service clubs to provide community meals in the evenings that are open to everyone.  If you or your group would like to participate, please call DRM at 517-515-5150.

 The New York Deli belongs to the Damascus Road Ministries family of businesses and net profits are used for operation of DRM services in the community.  The restaurant will be operated by skilled individuals and will be a training ground for individuals interested in a food service career.  This will allow participants in DRM programs and the community to learn new skills, earn a wage, and do community service during scheduled community meals.
