Video I found onthe web of the fire that destroyed the Bavarian Inn in Hillsdale over the weekend, complete with musical soundtrack
The story from M-Live:
HILLSDALE, MI -- An official with a Hillsdale fire department says the blaze that destroyed a hotel Saturday morning is one of the largest structure fires seen in the area in the past several years.
It took officials about four hours to contain the fire at the Bavarian Inn, 1728 Hudson Road, said Hillsdale Rural Fire Department Chief Brian Aube.
A call for a fire at the hotel came in about 11:30 a.m. Saturday, he said.
The fire destroyed all three buildings associated with the hotel, he said.
WLNS reported the fire caused the roof of the hotel to collapse.
About 19 departments from five counties assisted at the scene, which drew just over 200 firefighters, Aube said.
There were no injuries in the blaze, although some firefighters did have to be treated for exposure to heat.
"This is the largest that we have had in many years," Aube said.
It is not known what caused the fire, but officials are continuing their investigation, he added.
Officials do not believe the fire is the result of suspicious activity.
