Pat Swan Retires From Community Health Agency

After 27 years of service, the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency would like to take this has announced the retirement of Pat Swan., Environmental Health Clerk in the Coldwater Office. Pat began her career at the Health Department working as a Receptionist. She then transferred to the Hillsdale office when she joined the Environmental Health Program. Eventually, Pat came back to the Coldwater office where she spent most of her career, taking applications, handling questions and serving as a resource person to those in need of well and septic permits or other environmental health concerns. Steve Todd, the Department’s Health Officer, says “Pat was a great resource to anyone who happened to come in or call the office. Her calm demeanor and efficient manner, combined with her strong work ethic, was a winning combination for both our staff and our customers, alike.”

Swan says now that she’s retired, she’ll enjoy some of the hobbies she had put on hold, including sewing and quilting. She also plans to spend more time reading, gardening and spending time with her six grandchildren.

Pat’s last day was May 18th. Friends and family members honored her at a retirement picnic held on May 19th atHeritageParkin Coldwater.
