Big Betty Balou, played by Kiersten Voorhies, makes quite an impression when she walks into the Soady Deer camp in Escanaba in Love this weekend at Tibbits Opera House. Richard Baker plays Albert Soady, Jr who has married Big Betty after winning her in a kissing contest. He brings her to deer camp where she has to prove she is worthy of being a Soady. Also in the show Alan Elliot as Albert Soady, Sr., John Payonk as Alfont Soady and Benjamin Lee Jackson as Salty Jim. Performances are at 7pm on Friday, October 19 and Saturday, October 20, and 2pm on Sunday, October 1.
