COLDWATER – John Wellet (on left above) was recently inducted as the newest member of the Kiwanis Club of Coldwater. John is the Assistant Branch Manager at Flagstar Bank. He was sponsored by member Ray Sebastian.

Denny Brieske, club membership chair, performed the induction and gave an overview of John’s qualities. John graduated from Tri-State University with a degree in civil engineering. He spent 2 years in Thailand with the US Peace Corps as a water resource engineer and over 2 years in Algeria as an oilfield engineer. He has been in the banking and investment industry for the past 11 years.

John and his 3 girls, Mina, Jasmine and Jamie reside in Coldwater. He is a current member of the Elks and past Advisory President and board member of St. Charles School. He spends his free time coaching and volunteering at his girls’ athletic games and he also enjoys running.
