COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Sheriff’s Department says an injured female dog who was found on River Road near Calkins Road last Wednesday has been reunited with its owner.
It was initially assumed the dog was either hit or thrown out of a vehicle.
The Sheriff’s Department now says Zsa Zsa got out from under a fence and walked away.
The owner drove around looking in the area for her but wasn’t able to find her, and didn’t know to call 911.
The Sheriff’s Department said in a Facebook post last Friday that Zsa Zsa’s mother is a responsible dog owner and was grateful for everyone’s help.
Sheriff’s Department Sgt. David Fillmore says Zsa Zsa is being well cared for and is on the mend.
