Bryan Massey, an employee of the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities, recently passed the Michigan DEQ examination for certification as a class “D” municipal wastewater treatment plant operator. While working for the water department from 2005 to 2010 Mr. Massey obtained the S1 (water distribution) and D2 (water treatment) operator certifications.
In 2010 he transferred to the wastewater treatment plant and the “D” certification is the first level in the wastewater certification progression. In order to obtain certifications, operators must meet educational qualifications, experience qualifications, and receive an examination score of 70% or better.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the CBPU, Director Beckhusen congratulates Mr. Massey for successfully obtaining this certification. This accomplishment speaks highly of his work ethic and dedication to support the CBPU’s strong foundation for serving its customers
