In January, Branch County Farm Bureau Promotion & Education chair Ellen Hopkins will take her husband George to Hawaii complements of American Farm Bureau Federation.  There, they will present information on the creation and uses of the Branch County Agriculture Trailer to Farm Bureau members visiting the trade show in Honolulu. 

Twenty County of Excellence award winning programs were selected from over 100 applicants forwarded from each state.  The trailer project began in 2007 and continues today visiting schools, county fairs, Project RED, fire and emergency staff training sessions and many other events.   

The local project was selected from numerous applications from across Michigan and was honored at the 2011 Michigan Farm Bureau annual meeting in December at the Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids, MI.
