CHC Wound Healing Center Names New Clinical Nurse Manager

Dotty J. Eldred, RN BS, has been appointed Clinical Nurse Manager at the Community Health Center of Branch County (CHC) Wound Healing Center.  Located at370 East Chicago Streetin Coldwater, the center specializes in the treatment of chronic wounds and non-responsive conditions and offer hospital-based outpatient wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

As Clinical Nurse Manager, Eldred will be responsible for all clinical aspects of the center including providing continuity of care for patients, integrating new therapies into care and training new personnel, reviewing and reporting on patient outcomes, and ensuring quality of care.

A resident of Battle Creek, Eldred brings more than 20 years of experience to the center.  She started her nursing career as a staff RN & maternal/child float nurse at Battle Creek Health Systems in 1987. Eldred has held the position of Pediatrics Manager, Nurse Manager of Nursing and Accreditation Services, and Medical Oncology Research Coordinator.    

Dotty received her associate’s degree in nursing from Kellogg Community College and her bachelor of Management Health Services from Spring Arbor University.  Dotty is currently attendingSpringArborUniversityto complete her BSN.  She holds a certificate for meds, diet & diabetic care.
