“CAMERON CFO, DARRYL FAYE TO RETIRE”

Cameron Memorial Community Hospital Chief Financial Officer, Darryl Faye recently announced his retirement effective January 27, 2012.  “We are grateful for Darryl’s leadership and service on behalf of Cameron Hospital and the patients, families and communities we serve,” said Cameron President & CEO, Greg Burns.

Darryl joined Cameron as Chief Financial Officer in 2006.  He has provided excellent financial leadership for the hospital during his five-years of service with Cameron.  His accomplishments include:  revision of the hospital’s financial statements, establishment of the Cardinal pharmacy system relationship, 2009 bond issue, change in the hospital’s banking relationship, leadership in the selection and implementation of CPSI, and financial planning for the new Cameron Hospital, including USDA and FHA financing applications. 

Darryl has been responsible for the following departments and functions:  Fiscal Services, Accounts Payable, General Accounting, Financial Services/Business Office, Revenue Cycle, Admitting and Registration, Reception, Materials Management, Information Technology, Medical Records, Utilization Review and the Cancer Care Center.  Darryl and his staff have excelled in the annual operations and capital budget process, revenue cycle, accounts receivable, cash management, investments, hospital audits and cost reports.

Darryl’s career in healthcare financial management has spanned 35+ years.  Prior to joining Cameron Hospital, Darryl was the Chief Financial Officer for Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka, Illinois for 14 years.  He served in a variety of financial management leadership positions with hospitals in the Chicago area from 1969-1991.  Darryl served with distinction as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and is a recipient of the Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge.
