Maple Lawn’s Barbie Mitchell, registered nurse and rehabilitation coordination recently received the “Essential Piece” award from Great Lake Caring, a home health and hospice company that works with Maple Lawn.
The recognition is for "Believing in the importance of good communications and working in partnership with the Great Lakes Caring staff, for keeping in mind the needs of residents and patients and the importance of making timely referrals, and for supporting and understanding the importance of home health and hospice care."
Jane Sabaitis, administrator of Maple Lawn said, “This is an award well deserved. Congratulates Barbie on this honor and thank you Great Lakes Caring for recognizing Barbie and her hard work getting patients back on their feet and home sooner.”
Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility has been recognized by the governor and other agencies for providing quality care through extended-stay nursing care to seniors with varying levels of disabilities. Rehabilitation services are also available for physical, occupational, and speech and language therapy for short or long term care.
