Coldwater, Michigan (WTVB) - An Employee of the Month exemplifies CHC’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Hannah Musgrove, Surgical-Pediatrics Unit Technician, is deserving of this award, and was recently selected by her peers as the Community Health Center of Branch County’s July Employee of the Month.
Hannah was hired March 24, 2008 as a Unit Technician on the Surgical-Pediatric floor.
According to her nominator, “Hannah is highly deserving of Employee of the Month. She exemplifies CHC’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Upon entering the Surgical/Pediatrics Unit all are greeted with a pleasant smile, demeanor, and eagerness to assist in an efficient manner. She makes all her customers (patients, family, visitors, and coworkers) comfortable and well taken care of while in her presence. She goes out of her way to make sure all items brought to her attention are taken care of promptly and accurately. Many times you will see Hannah going above and beyond the “call of duty”. She serves as a great example of excellent customer service even while off duty at the facility. Recently while here as a visitor for a friend, Hannah made sure the patient and family were comfortable and well taken care of during their stay. She is willing to help out and pitch in when needed, also providing coverage in the Emergency Department and most recently Nursing Office. Hannah is a well-rounded person who is compassionate and caring of her CHC family. She follows a family tradition for providing excellent care for all patients, family, and visitors at CHC.”
Hannah graduated from Coldwater High School and is currently attending Kellogg Community College for Business Management. She is also a 4-H leader, FFA Alumni secretary, and is involved in numerous community events. Hannah works as casually for Dr. Kallus, is a Partylight consultant, and a substitute teacher at BACC in the Agriculture & Natural Resources Department. Hannah is married to Jonathan Musgrove who is in maintenance at Bronson Precision Products. Together they have a dog named Remi. Hannah has lived in Coldwater all her life. She enjoys gardening, canning, and entertaining friends and family.The Surgical/Pediatric Unit provides nursing care to patients of all ages. The majority of CHC’s rooms are private which enhances patients’ experience and confidentiality. CHC care is focused on the post-operative patient, including general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and children with any acute care needs.
Patient care providers include registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nurse externs, nursing assistants, unit secretaries, unit technicians, physicians, respiratory technicians, physical therapy personnel, pastoral care personnel, discharge planning staff, radiology technicians, laboratory staff, dieticians, and pharmacists.
