September 27, 2012 – Coldwater, MI – On Thursday, October 4, the Branch County Community Foundation will wrap up a year long celebration with a gathering of donors and community members at the CHC Community Care and Conference Center. The event will feature author, Carolyn Friend, co-author of “The Legacy Conversation: The Missing Gem in Wealth Planning.” This is a free event with light refreshments beginning at 5:30 and the program beginning at 6:15.
During the event, Friend will talk about confronting the complex and sensitive issues of the "inheritance” including legacy conversations, family wisdom, or other generational issues. The book has been known as a invaluable contribution to the art of legacy planning. Friend is also the founder of Inheriting Wisdom a specialty consulting firm that designs Legacy Plans for families with intentional strategies for passing on more than just assets to the next generation.
Friend and her husband James M. Weiner co-founded the Gen-T Legacy Institute to assist families in passing on the non-financial, intagible legacy from one generation to another through their Inheriting Wisdom process. A husband and wife team, they reside in Chicago.
