The Quincy Chamber of Commerce will be holding an, “After Business Hours” event on Thursday, May 20th. The event will be held at the Marble Lake Resort & Marina at 224 Englewood Drive in Quincy, which is just North of the public access on Wildwood Road.

There will be a cook-out starting at 5:00pm and the program will be from 5:30 – 6:30pm. There is no charge for Chamber Members and a $5 charge for non-members. This will be a great opportunity to learn what business in our community have to offer, as well as a chance to talk with other business owners.

The featured business will include: Marble Lake Resort & Marina, Cottonwood Resort, Canopy’s R Us, Sunset Cove, Quincy Heights Party Store and PNC f/k/a National City. Other businesses are invited to bring marketing material to place on the display table.

Monarch Community Bank welcomes Charles Mulka, assistant vice president and commercial lender to the branch at 87 Marshall St. in Coldwater. Mulka comes to the bank from Bank of America and has 20 years of prior experience in banking. His responsibilities at the bank will include obtaining commercial loans and working with current customers.

Mulka is a graduate of Redford Union High School and of Madonna University, where he obtained his Masters degree in business. In his spare time he enjoys playing and teaching guitar and staying active in karate. When asked what he’s looking forward to in his new position he said, “It will be great to work at a community bank and I look forward to meeting customers”.
