COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The 90th edition of the Branch County Fair wraps up on Saturday.
There will be pedal pulls for kids of all ages throughout the day at the 4-H Cabin Pavilion along with livestock judging in the show shelter during the afternoon.
The Mid Summer Pro Mud Racers Championships in the Amphitheater on Saturday night will officially bring the curtain down on the fair.
Fair Manager Jan Murphy says this year’s fair was successful thanks to in part to the good weather as temperatures stayed in the low to mid 80 with lots of sunshine.
After the week long fair, Sunday will be a day for cleaning up the Branch County Fairgrounds starting at 7:00 a.m. and everyone is expected to pitch in.
All of the animals and exhibits will be released Sunday morning as well.
The Showmanship Sweepstakes winners on Friday night were MaKenzie Blatter for Small Animals and Kade Shiery for Large Animals.
The Branch County Republican Party question of the day at their Fair booth on Friday was “Do you support Governor Whitmer’s proposed 45 cents per gallon gas tax and higher income taxes to “Fix the D— Roads”?”
The results were 7 Yes and 144 No
The Question of the Day for Saturday will be:
“Apparently not satisfied with the findings of the Mueller report, nearly half of the US House Democrats and Michigan Senator Stabenow support an impeachment inquiry. Given the important issues facing the nation, do you think this is in the best interest of the country?”
