COLDWATER-Police say it was a 61-year-old Coldwater resident who died late Friday afternoon on the city’s west side when his pickup collided with a delivery truck on US 12.  Bruce Patton was pronounced dead at the scene.  The truck driver was treated for minor injuries at the Community Health Center of Branch County. Police say Patton’s pickup was eastbound on US 12 when it swerved into the path of the oncoming truck. The roadway was closed for about five hours following the collision.  The driver of an SUV, which was sideswiped by the truck after it hit Patton’s pickup, escaped injury.  An autopsy on Patton is scheduled for today.
