(Chicago, IL) -- Orlando Hudson and Jason Kubel homered to power the Twins to a 6-1 win over the White Sox in the rubber match of a key three-game A.L. Central showdown in Chicago. Hudson hit a solo shot in the first and Kubel connected for a three-run blast in the seventh for Minnesota, which moved one game ahead of Chicago for the division lead. Francisco Liriano allowed just a first-inning run in five-and-two-thirds frames to move to 11-and-7 on the season. Gavin Floyd struck out seven, but gave up 10 hits and all six runs in six-and-two-thirds innings to fall to 8-and-9. A.J. Pierzynski went 3-for-4 with an RBI infield single to highlight the Sox attack.
