Google was expected to make a decision late this month on which communities would be selected to be a part of their ultra high speed fiber network. The Twin Ports are among a thousand plus cities who applied for inclusion in the experimental project. In an update released on Wednesday by Google, they said more time is needed and they are not quite ready to make an announcement. According to their internet post, to make sure they get it right, the decision on which community or communities are selected has been delayed until early in 2011.
