(Undated) -- The opening gavel of the 2010 legislative session is just over two weeks away, and lawmakers are getting ready. Two House committees focus on the causes and costs of obesity tomorrow morning at the Capitol. Later in the week, a panel takes a look at Governor Pawlenty's bonding recommendations which he rolled out last Friday. Lawmakers and the governor are also waiting to hear how soon the courts will hear Pawlenty's appeal of a case involving cuts he made to the state budget last spring. Lawmakers continue talking about how to save General Assistance Medical Care, for which the governor canceled funding effective March 1st.
