KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard is making one last lap around the state before the primary vote in his bid to win the GOP's nomination in this year's gubernatorial race. He will be in Kalamazoo today, and he will need it, the polls show him trailing three other front runners.
Depending on the poll, frontrunners have been in flux on the Republican side of the race. Bouchard is well known on the state's east side which is part of why he chose west Michigan's Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land as his running mate. He says they've got a plan to grab everyone's attention ahead of the vote.
Bouchard faces Attorney General Mike Cox, State Senator Tom George, Congressman Pete Hoekstra, and Ann Arbor businessman Rick Snyder on ballots August 3rd. Bouchard with huddle will attend a business roundtable late this morning in Kalamazoo.
