WASHINGTON D.C. (WKZO) -- Congressman Fred Upton will be working to get a budget cutting proposal before the US House this week. It's the result of a Republican service called You Cut, an online poll system that asks citizens to pick one of five possible spending reductions that could be introduced in Congress each week.
The most recent winner was Upton's own suggestion to stop the IRS from hiring over 15-thousand new workers to handle healthcare reform-related matters. He says it's an example of hidden tax burdens included in the healthcare bill. Upton says that he'll be introducing the budget cut through parliamentary measures in the House sometime on the next few days.
