When the World Series between the Giants and the Rangers opens tomorrow night in San Francisco, Coldwater’s Jeff Kellogg, one of four major league umpires from Branch County, will be part of the 6 man crew calling this year’s Fall Classic.
That’s the word from the Associated Press. Major League Baseball is expected to make it official today. It will be the fourth World Series for Kellogg, who also worked the Series in 2000, 2003, and 2008. The other Major League umpires from Branch County are Coldwater natives Bill and Tim Welke and Scott Barry from Quincy
