COLDWATER (WTVB) - If you check today’s weather forecast, you’ll see there’s a pollen alert for Branch County with a high weed level in the area and it’s another sign of the season. Suffering from sinus pressure, congestion and itchy, watery eyes? You're not alone.

Allergy specialist Dr. Stephen Leslie says it's the middle of ragweed season and there just isn't any cure for those suffering, especially those who don’t respond well to anti-histamines so they have a need for prescription drugs.

Leslie says it's not going anywhere soon, with the ragweed usually hanging around until the first frost with the peak season right about now. He says anyone having severe symptoms, like difficulty breathing, should see their doctor.
