Teams throughout the NBA officially opened training camps Friday and the Pistons are going forward without Richard Hamilton. Detroit has bought out the contract of the 3-time All-Star guard, who became the Piston’s all-time leading playoff scorer during his 9-year career in Motown.
The Pistons headed into camp with a new coach in Lawrence Franks, and a new ownership group headed by Tom Gores. Detroitopens its two-game preseason next Friday night at home against the Cavs. The Pistons' regular season will get rolling December 26th atIndiana.
