SHERWOOD TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) - A recent spike in Methamphetamine busts continues in Branch County. The latest happened over the weekend when sheriff’s deputies made a traffic stop on Blossom Road near Oliverda Road in Sherwood Township. There were two men and a woman in the car.
Deputies said the driver appeared to be nervous and high on meth. They found that his license was suspended for traffic violations and further checking allowed deputies to discover an active “one pot cook” meth lab in the vehicle and components to produce methamphetamine.
The driver and the other man in the car were arrested with multiple charges pending. Cleanup crews were called to the scene for the removal of hazardous waste and chemicals. Deputies were assisted by SherwoodTownshipfiremen and LifeCare Ambulance.
