GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) -- Senator Debbie Stabenow wants the federal government to investigate a Chinese company for allegedly ripping off the designs of a Grand Rapids jewelry maker. Stabenow says, "This is a big deal, and it's particularly difficult for small businesses."
Michigan's junior U.S. senator spoke with Lisa Lehmann about copies of her hand-made products showing up on a Chinese-based website. A spokeswoman for the Chinese site admits a supplier appears to have used Lehmann's products and said they are talking to lawyers in Hong Kong.
