Reports emerged late on Tuesday (25Jan11) suggesting the Spanish beauty had been admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles earlier this week (begs24Jan11) and gave birth on Tuesday.

But, according to Cruz's spokeswoman, the actors actually welcomed a son last week (ends23Jan11).

She says, ""Both parents and baby are doing great.""

No other details, including the tot's name, were revealed.

The child is the couple's first. They wed in a secret ceremony in July (10).
