LANSING (WKZO) -- The daughter of Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley went in for a relatively routine heart catheter procedure to give doctors a closer look at the problems she has suffered since birth. She had a negative reaction to the procedure and suffered three cardiac arrests at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.
On his Facebook page, the 33-year-old Calley said his daughter, Kara, who is not yet a year and a half old, was able to stabilize without the aid of heart and lung machines but a medication used for the heart catheter started a "terrible chain of events."
