KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO) -- Gas Prices have jumped up another dime at some stations in the Kalamazoo area, despite a drop in crude oil prices nationally. GasBuddy.Com says Speedway Stations led the charge upwards on Tuesday and since then, some, but not all stations have followed their lead charging over $3.80 a gallon. Shopping around could pay off for you.
Ken Mayland at Clearview Economics says lower gas prices helped boost consumer confidence climbed slightly in July but the brakes could be slammed on that, if gas prices go much higher. He says $3.90 to $4.00 a gallon is when consumers begin to alter their spending habits to make sure they have enough to buy gas.
