SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man is scheduled to go on trial this morning in Sheboygan County Court in the death of his one-month old son in March of last year. 24 year old Andrew Goldston is facing a charge of 1st degree reckless homicide. Jury selection is scheduled to begin this morning in Branch 5 before judge James Bolgert. The trial is expected to last through Friday. Goldston was arrested in March of last year after paramedics were called to his home where they found one-month old Leander Goldston not breathing and unresponsive. He was taken to the hospital where he died a couple of days later. Goldston said he had been holding his son when he accidentally dropped him. Doctors who examined the infant said his head injuries could not have been caused by being dropped. Goldston is facing up to 66 years in prison, if convicted.
