In the NBA Finals, the Dallas Mavericks rallied behind a sick leader last night and evened the series at two games apiece with an 86-to-83 win over the Miami Heat in Dallas.
This time, it wasn't just Dirk Nowitzki's hand that was ailing with that splint on his injured left middle finger. It was the rest of his body, too. Nowitzki, who played despite a fever that spiked to 101 with a sinus infection, scored 10 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter, including eight during a big run that erased a nine point deficit.
Jason Terry scored 17 off the bench for Dallas, while Dwyane Wade dropped in a game-high 32 points for Miami. LeBron James had only eight points on 3-of-11 shooting in the loss and for the first time in 90 playoff games was held to single digit scoring. Game Five is tomorrow night inDallas.
