(Lansing, MI) -- One Lansing lawmaker is looking to ban guns in local libraries. Democratic State Representative Joan Bauer wants to expand the so-called gun-free zones to include libraries after some local officials complained about people bringing weapons into the Lansing main branch. Under current Michigan law, there are gun-free zones at sport facilities, daycare centers and schools. However, libraries aren't currently included in the law. No word on when an official bill might be introduced in the state House.
