The Cheers star's beloved dad Robert is under doctors' care in her native Kansas, and Alley has asked her online fans to send him their best wishes.

In a series of posts on her Twitter.com page, she writes, ""Would love and appreciate your sweet attention to my Daddio who is in the hospital W (with) pneumonia... think he just needs me back in Kansas.

""See there Daddio (sic)... bet you are feeling all those lovely well wishes already... you deserve them. U R (you are) the father dreams are made of... thank U.
