The Red Wings on Monday recalled forward Fabian Brunnstrom from Grand Rapids of the AHL. Brunnstrom has appeared in four games with the Red Wings this season. He returns to the parent club as Detroit forward Patrick Eaves was scheduled to undergo surgery last night on his broken jaw.

Eaves is expected to miss six-to-eight weeks after taking a puck to the face on Saturday against the Predators. The Red Wings will shoot for their sixth straight win tomorrow night when they take on Tampa Bay at Joe Louis Arena. Detroit is two points behind the Blackhawks for first place in the Central Division.
