It appears the Lions can concentrate on preparing for their game coming up at Denver without having to worry about dealing with another serious injury to quarterback Matthew Stafford.
An M-R-I exam Monday revealed no structural damage to his right knee or ankle with just a sprained ankle following a hard hit he took on Detroit’s last offensive play in their loss Sunday to the Falcons. For now,Stafford is listed as day-to-day with the hope he can return to practice tomorrow. The team is off today.
Meanwhile, Detroit defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh yesterday denied he did any trash talking or taunting aimed at Atlanta quarterback Matthew Ryan while Ryan was on the ground with what looked to possibly be a serious leg injury. He returned to the game on the next series, and the talk of Suh being a dirty player also returned.
Yesterday after practice, Suh dismissed the accusations made by several Atlanta players. It was one of the Falcon’s own players, a lineman who stepped on Ryan that caused him to go down.
