UNDATED (WTVB) - Have your kids had their flu shots yet? Health officials say if not, you’d better plan on it. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says many of the children and teenagers who died in the last flu season had not gotten flu shots.

The CDC says the flu killed 115 kids and teens between September 2010 and last month.  Fewer than a quarter of the children older than six months had been vaccinated.

Researchers say just being a child is a risk factor for flu.  Nearly half the children who died were younger than five.  The CDC recommends flu shots for all Americans over the age of six months
