GROSSE POINTE PARK (WKZO) -- The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office reportedly may file charges against Bob Bashara in the next ten days, in connection with the death of his wife.
56-year-old Jane Bashara was found strangled to death in her Mercedes SUV on Detroit's east side, a day after she had been reported missing in late January. In March, handyman Joe Gentz was charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder, weeks after he had confessed to his role in the slaying.
According to Grosse Pointe Park police Bob Bashara was named a person of interest in the investigation of his wife's murder almost from the start. Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney spokesperson Maria Miller said in a e-mail that the case is still under investigation.
