A guy named Bubba yesterday won the Green Jacket with his playoff victory in the Masters. Bubba Watson parred the second playoff hole Sunday to defeat Louis Oosthuizen and win the Masters, his first major victory.
Watson played a brilliant hook wedge shot from the woods to the green on the second sudden death hole and then 2-putted from 10 feet to secure the victory. Watson birdied four in a row to catch Oosthuizen on the back nine.
Oosthuizen yesterday became the first player in Masters history to double-eagle the second hole and only the fourth to record that amazing score on any hole at Augusta National. There was a 4-way tie for third place between Phil Mickelson, Peter Hanson, Lee Westwood and Matt Kuchar.
And despite winning two weeks ago at Bay Hill, Tiger Woods failed to ride the momentum into the Masters and finished in a tie for 40th place.
