The Red Wings concluded the regular season on Saturday with a 3-to-2 shootout loss to the Blackhawks and are set to face the Nashville Predators in the first round of the playoffs.

Detroit will travel to Nashville for Games One and Two which are slated for Wednesday and Friday.  The Red Wings are 3-and-3 this season against the Predators, having lost the two most recent meetings in March.

In the ECHL, the Kalamazoo Wings advanced to the Kelly Cup Eastern Conference semi-finals with their 3-to-2 win Saturday night over Wheeling at Wings Stadium to take the first round series 3-games-to-1. The K-Wings will face South Carolina in the second round beginning Friday night in Kalamazoo.
