MUSKEGON, MI (WHTC) - A 33-year-old college professor appears to be the latest Democratic Party hopeful looking to break the Republican’s hold on the Congressional seat for what is now half of the Lakeshore area. David Takitaki of Muskegon Township announced on Facebook yesterday his candidacy to challenge first-term incumbent Bill Huizenga of Zeeland. Hope College’s Fred Johnson lost as the Democratic candidate in the past two elections.
