NASHVILLE, TN (WHTC) - Gabriel Bourque scored twice, while Pekka Rinne turned aside 35 shots, as Nashville held off the visiting Detroit Red Wings last night, 3-2, in the opener of a best-of-seven Stanley Cup Western Conference Quarterfinal series. Game two is at the Bridgestone Arena on Friday evening.

The Chicago Blackhawks open up their Western Conference Quarterfinal Series in Phoenix against the Coyotes tonight.
