COLDWATER,. MI (WTVB) - Guilty on four counts and not guilty on one count. The verdicts were read yesterday in Branch County Circuit Court in the trial of 18-year old James Wilcox of Coldwater. He was facing five charges of first degree criminal sexual conduct for the sexual assault of a seven year old boy. Authorities said the incidents occurred in 2009 and 2010.

The jury deliberated about a day-and-a-half. The trial actually started last month but was adjourned back on March 22^nd after five days after a defense witness became ill. Testimony resumed this week on Tuesday and the jury got the case late that day. Wilcox faces up to life in prison when he returns for sentencing on May 14^th.
