The league has released its complete 2012 regular-season schedule and we learned Tuesday that the Lions will get their most national TV exposure since 1998. Detroit will appear in five nationally televised games with four prime time appearances.
The Lion’s regular season opener is at home September Ninth against the St. Louis Rams. Detroit’s annual Thanksgiving Day game opponent is Houston. The Lions play four of their first six games on the road with their bye coming in Week Five.
The Super Bowl champion New York Giants and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning will both be featured in primetime the first week of the NFL season. The Giants will kick off the campaign Wednesday, September 5th against the Dallas Cowboys on NBC.
Manning will make his Broncos debut at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers on NBC's "Sunday Night Football" September 9th.
