In a scene straight out of a horror movie, Bollywood actress Meenakshi Thapar was reportedly kidnapped and later beheaded after colleagues tried to extort money from her family.

While working on the Indian horror film, 404, Amit Jaiswal, 36 and his lover Preeti Surin overheard the 26-year-old Thapar talking about her family's excess wealth and later invited her on a trip. While out of town the two held her for ransom.

After demanding 1,500,000 rupees (approximately $28,000) from the actresses family and only receiving 60,000 (a little more than $1,000), the couple strangled Thapar to death, later beheading her.

Jaiswal and Surin were caught in possession of the missing girl's cell phone and eventually confessed to the horrific murder.
