COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - Branch County’s jobless rate showed some improvement last month, falling a half a percent from 9.1 to 8.6%.  Unemployment rates declined in 15 of Michigan's 17 major labor market areas in March. The State said Winter 2012 ended on a positive note marked by seasonal job gains in leisure and hospitality services and construction.

A year ago in March, Branch County’s unemployment rate was 10.7%.
